Akhilesh Cup 2000

We carry through this small SWOS tournament on 11/07/2000 as a farewell for my Akhilesh cousin who was coming back to Florianópolis, after few days in my house in Rio de Janeiro.

Unhappyly many had not appeared, but we had a public of 4 people. Rodrigão came with his girlfriend Sabrina who did not leave it to play, my girlfriend Dani and the my cousin's girlfriend Maren, who came directly from Germany, a German that spoke little Portuguese but it finished being responsible for the food of the guys making a delicious pão-de-queijo, thing that does not exist in Germany.

The first phase was composite of 2 groups chosen for the computer that happily finished well balanced. The two first teamses of each group would pass to second phase, this were the result.

GROUP I

Fabiano did not arrive to give work for the others that had won it without bigger difficulties, being the confrontations between Leo and Freddy the best ones and more disputed. The Forward Ian Pultz of the Freddy hurt in the last minute of the last game.

Bernardo start very badly losing in house against Gugu, its excuse was to have 2 sendings off players. In the rollback he finished being successful outside of house for the same one score of 3x2. Akhilesh did not present much resistance due to be a novice in the SWOS, but in the second run he arrived to be earning of the Bernardo of 1x0 on 80mins of the second time, but he finished relaxing and losing of 3x1.



In the Semifinals the first place of Group I caught as the second place of Group II, and vice versa. They had been 2 games without being valid the Away Goal. These had been the results.



SEMI-FINALS

Leo	11	x	3	Gugu

Gugu starts very nervous the game, Leo uses to advantage and opens a score very large to be reverted.

Freddy	2	x	2	Bernardo

Hard game with many lacks what it caused the expulsion of defensor Erro of the Freddy. Exactly thus he continued very closed and both had lost many goals. The final result finished just being and as a victory for the Freddy.

Gugu	3	x	6	Leo

In the second game, Gugu was discouraged with your bad performance in the previous game, it arrived to be earning but the Leo knew to turn the game and with this finishing with the hopes of Gugu.

Bernardo	1	x	1	Freddy	8x9 Penalts

It was the decisive game, who earned would pass to the Final. Freddy playing outside of house played in the ones against attacks and the Bernardo also did not come to attack as he would have for being playing in house. In a Animael counterattack it suffers lack in the input from the area, and himself shoot and scores a great goal to Freddy, who later hurts the hand due to the high number of matches. In the end of the game, Bernardo it obtains to tie up to in a miraculous shoot of lack leading the game for penalts. In the shootings all had scored until the keeper Gilberto Braga of the Freddy defends and takes the teams to the great Final.



FINAL

Leo	6	x	5	Freddy

Freddy starts badly the nervous match, Leo arrives to open a good advantage in score. Freddy feels the bruise in the hand and seems that hardly will win this tournament. Leo was with the game in his hands, but he finished relaxing and leaving Freddy to score 2 goals at the final moments of the game.

Freddy	8	x	6	Leo

Freddy enters in the game with a great pain in the hand and wise person who had that to win the game in the first time. With Ian Pultz in return to the team, he goes entire to attack and he finishes quickly scores 4 goals before Leo if pointed out in field. Soon later Leo starts to react in very dangerous and hard attacks, the 3 forwards Sávio, Lúcio and Romário of Leo hurt. What it seemed impossible was happening, Freddy was earning of 7x3 and Leo was falling in the desperation. Had pain in its hand Freddy goes trying to spend the time while Leo attacked insistently until to the 35mins of second time it obtains to diminish for 7x5, and with plus a goal he would take the game to penalts. Then Leo goes with everything to foward and in a counterattack fast Freddy socores 8x5 on 43mins, practically the goal of the heading. Leo still obtains to diminish but is late excessively, Freddy wins the emotive game and desolates the Leo for having lost a tournament that was in its hands.
