Was played at 15 of March of 2003, in a hot saturday night at 18:00hs.
Aside the 11 teams, we got also present Dani and Fabiano. Because the undivisible number of teams, we had for the first time in the SWOS BRASIL history a Deathmatch before the First Phase with the last 2 teams on the SWOS BRASIL RANKING that were present. So Ricardo and Rodrigo IRB played the Deathmatch game. |

 Ricardo came as the worst team, and had lucky and score in a penalty shot. Rodrigo IRB going to nuts and can't change the score and Ricardo won the first match. |
 In the first minutes Rodrigo IRB had one player off with red card and with his team damaged can't win and Ricardo is going to the first phase when Rodrigo IRB is the first team out. |

 Bernardo played well and scored one of the best goals of the tournament, and found Junior a lot better of the last SWOS CUP, and gave my trouble to Bernardo. |
 Junior start better and scary Bernardo in two strong attacks in the first moments. But Bernardo with more experience start to control the match and score the goal of his classification. Junior now is waiting for someone lose also the 2 matches for more goals to classify. |

 Ricardo already satisfied surprised everyone scoring against Daniel, and keeping the score until the end winning the first match. Daniel now need to win to classify. |
 Daniel came a lot better but can't score on the first half. No Ricardo equals the game the gave a lot of trouble to Daniel, that only scored at 87mins. Both were classified. |

 Felipe played to not lose only, and move all his team to his defense when Leo rule the match all the time scoring 3 times when Felipe don't gave a single shot against Leo's goal. |
 Felipe now playing at home need only a draw to classify but still on the defense when Leo open the score. Felipe start to move to attack, but lose the control of his team, and Leo don't had problems to score few more times and win again. Felipe was out. |

 Raphael played better and scored first, but on the last moments his defense left a easy ball to Luiz Magno that score and draw the match. |
 Now both were classified, and they were playing saving his best player for the next phase. Was a good match, but Raphael don't gave any chance to Luiz Magno. |

 Leo rule the match since the first minute, but Junior surprised all with his defense, playing like played against Bernardo on the first phase. Leo only scored two time with a lot of problems to win. |
 No Junior need to win for 3x0 to go to the semi finals, so tried to attack more, and openned more his defense, but Leo knows how to use that and scored 5 times, always in counter-attacks. Junior is out. |

 Bernardo don't want to gave any chance to bad lucky, and score 3 beautiful goals and don't let Luiz Magno to play that only shot one time. |
 Luiz Magno need a miracle to win against Bernardo for 4x0, and with Bernardo playing with many substitute players, Luiz Magno played better but Bernardo don't won again for Luiz Magno's lucky. Final time, no goal, Luiz Magno was out. |

 For lucky, they played against again. And now scored on at 5mins and soon later made 2x0. Ricardo only came better on the second half when scored. The match was very cool and disputed. Daniel gave the first step to the semi finals with the victory. |
 Ricardo need at least to win to leave the match to Penalties Shot. Daniel knows that and played with no much risk in his defense. The match is great with good plays to both sides, and with any mistake will decide his life in the tournament. With the draw without goals Daniel was on the semi finals when Ricardo waits for the Revelation game when will gonna play AGAIN with Daniel away. |

Raphael start too much nervous, and can't move his players well.
Freddy scored at the first moments, and short after Raphael scored a own goal.
Fredy scored more 2 time on the first half. Raphael came more calm on the second half aside receive
another goal in the beginning, but score his only goal short after. Freddy still done another goal
on the last moments putting Raphael in a difficult situation.

Now Freddy save his best players and play with the second team. Raphael take the chance
and played a lot better, but with a stupid penalty Freddy scored 1x0 and later had one player
out with red card, but scored again anyway on the end of the first half.
Raphael start to play better and rule the second half, but wasn't able to score and Freddy
finished any dream scoring 3x0 on the final minutes. Raphael was out. |

 Daniel entered thinking and lead the decision to the penalties shots, but Leo came like an avalanche and scored again and again don't letting Daniel breath anytime. Leo is almost on the final for the 3rd time of SWOS OPEN. |
 Daniel aside try to win, stayed back when Leo without many of his best players injuried of for saving to the final, don't had any problem to win again against an coward team. So Daniel was satisfied to gonna dispute the Revelation and Bronze Medals. |

For sure was the most beautiful game of the night, with increrible plays and goals.
Was a very hard and nervous game with fantastic passes and great moves, when Bernardo
reach for the first time with a cleary chance to score but waste the chance, and Freddy
soon after openned the score. The match continue here and there and Freddy scored again
on the final moments of the first half. The match stills great to see with great chances to both sides
but Bernardo can't score and Freddy scored again on the end, leaving Bernardo in a bad situation to
the second match.

 Freddy not believing that will lose for 3x0 to Bernardo, save his best players to the final against Leo. In other side Bernardo came determined to at least win and started very better than Freddy but lose many cleary chances to score, and to be worst lose a good midfielder injuried. Bernardo insist but can't change the score until that Freddy almost on the end scored 1x0 in a fast counter-strike. Bernardo will going to dispute the Bronze Medal when Freddy the Final against Leo. |

After the biggest surprise of the Ricardo's goal, we all expected a strike-back by Daniel that don't
happened. Daniel really feels the impact still on the beginning of the match and get lost in the field.
Anything that he tried doesn't work, and this will taking Daniel yet more nervous.
Ricardo really can't believing that he is winning and only spread smiles to everywhere, kicking the
ball to anywhere to pass the time waiting for the end of the match.
The Second half starts and Daniel comeback more calm and start to create good moves and reaching with
very dangerous the Ricardo's area, that tried to stop with all weapons as possible.
Many balls on the post, defensors saving in the goal's line, but nothing make an ball from Daniel
reach the net. Daniel went mad with that and Ricardo almos scored again in two times on the end.
The Referee finish the match and Ricardo ask "I Won? I Won?" while Daniel can't believe that lost
again. Ricardo got the Revelation Medal in his first Tournament. |

 Daniel came now decided to win and don't played back only defending, this time use 4-3-3 and face Bernardo as a big team and scored 1x0 surprising everyone. Bernardo feels the impact of the goal and can't play well until the end of the first half. On the second half after many and many tries Bernardo finally scores making Daniel losing his hope to win, and Bernardo use that and scored again on the final moments, and almost score on more time with a headshot on the post on the last second. Bernardo only need a draw to got the Bronze Medal. |
 Bernardo now prefer pass more the ball to waste time putting the Daniel's team to run. He rule the match and reaching sometimes the Daniel's goal with many dangerous, that this time seams dissappointed with his performance and almost satisfied with the 4th place. Second half starts and Bernardo begin to risk yourself more, putting high balls on the Daniel's area try a head goal, leaving many dangerous to Daniel, that also use that to strike-back trying a goal to lead the decision to penalty-shots with also dangerous. This repeat until the end without goals and with 0x0 Bernardo got the another Bronze Medal to his collection when Daniel lost another decision. |

 Match start very hard and nervous as always, and Freddy with full team goes upside Leo with all weapons and at 5mins Vaginaldo open the score with a nice shot after a great tackle by Animael. Leo without Romário and Pet injuried, feels the goals in the beginning and don't found himself on the field, and Freddy strikes all the time without mercy the Leo's goal that save himself almost for a miracle, when Leo in his unique dangerous attack in the first half, in a lost ball Ridículo jump to stop a counter-attack, for lucky the ball enters the Freddy's net and Leo draws the match. The first half ends in 1x1.  On the second half Freddy came with more power start to bombimg the Leo's defense like was Baghdad until Freddy scores 2x1. Leo can't start a single tackle and his strikes don't leave much dangerous to Freddy's defense that not slow the rhythm and still attacking with many dangerous hiting many times the Leo's posts, that had much lucky for only lose for 2x1. |
Leo have now Romário back on the team and came more decided than on the first match
and went to attack Freddy more times reaching many times close to score.
Freddy also attack and search all the time the goal aside don't need to win to be the winner.
The match start to be hard and violent, and the faults comes to happen to both sides,
Leo's Pet was injured and replaced by Afeganistão and Tomá no Cu Bebeto of Freddy received
a Yellow Card.
 On the second half Freddy strikes with all his power trying to win more fast as possible, but Leo strikes-back with fast counter-attacks and in one of these Tomá no Cu Bebeto received another Yellow Card and was sending off. Leo use the role inside the Freddy's midfield and almost score. Freddy cover the role using his leftback to try to stay on the attack, and worth and start to rule the match again. Attacking many times, hiting the post, but nothing makes the ball touch the Leo's net, and Freddy without one almost the entire second half start to make difference, and Leo learned to use the role leaved by the leftback in counter-attack and only at 85mins Romário received a good long pass in an empty space, done a short drible and scored! 
Freddy almost scored too in the next moment, but the referee ends the match, leave the decision
to the penalty shots. Both scored the first shot, after Freddy lose when Leo scored again.
Leo was celebrating already when Freddy lost another shot and Leo scored the 3rd.
Freddy finaly scored again, and Leo only need to score to be champion, and he don't spent and become
Champion of SWOS OPEN 2003 while Freddy got the Silver Medal.

Leo aside became SWOS OPEN's Champion for the third time, finished as the Highest Scorer with Romário and got also the Fair Play Medal without any card. Had lucky in a easy way until the final and aside don't played well on the final, scored when really need to score and got the Trophy with the Best Attack and Defense between the finalists. Congratulations Leo, who knows next year we can change the name SWOS OPEN to SWOS LEO just because he won all the 3 SWOS OPENs that we had until today.
 Because a mistake we only count the goals after the first phase, so to the Highest Scorer Medal only counts the goals made after Quarter of Final. |

| FINAL COMMENTS |
Freddy made an excellent tournament, but let escape the trophy when he was almost in his hands through a stupid Red Card, and all was decided for lucky on the penalties. And we all know that who don't score, received a goal. More lucky on the next time.
Bernardo aside played very well, don't played all his potencial like at SWOS CUP 2002 because lost of important players because his insistence and keep them in field aside they are injuried, what keep them away until the end of the tournament. maybe he could got more points or gone far more.
Daniel lost more two decisions in the last time aside had again lucky in his way. Now are 5 prizes consecutives that he lost. Are 2 Bronze Medals, 2 Revelation Medals and the Second Division Tournament. Let's go see if he stop to be vice on the next time. : )
Ricardo came without any hope by the friends on until for himself,
almost don't played because was thinking that will not have any chance with the others.
But put out Rodrigo IRB soon as the Tournament started and after had lucky and got Daniel
on the next 2 phases and on the Revelation Medal Match, winning 2 times against him and receiving
the Revelation Medal and reaching the 5th place of the Tournament. Congratulation! : )
Raphael start well but don't had lucky and got just Freddy on the Quarters Of Final what made he went out of the Tournament. But if he don't went so scared, maybe he could give more trouble and who knows until reach the semi-finals. On the next time need to believe more in himself and fight until the end and not quit when received the first goal.
Luiz Magno that made a great SWOS CUP 2002, can't repeat the same play. But had unlucky only got strong teams, and aside that still got 2 difficult draws and reach the finals.
Junior is now a lot better and finally learned to shot penalties. Knows how to play back with more inteligence and aside only playing against champion's teams, got a good play losing for a little difference and reach the Quarter of Final for the first time after few years trying. Keep training!
Felipe that were doing good plays, this time had unlucky and got only Leo on the first phase.
But aside that played hard and made the possible to resist and played better than on the last
tournaments aside this time don't cross the first phase. But still need to get better a lot,
mainly in the attack.
Luiz Alexandre is better, is passing more the ball and play with more head. Had unlucky to play against Freddy on the first phase and don't had what to do. But also needs to training more if want keep the fight for the Revelation Medal.
Rodrigo IRB felt difficult to play against real teams, and nothing made right, and without one player the things turns a lot worst. But got a point playing for the first time in SWOS Brasil and in a SWOS OPEN was a good result to a novice. Keep learning.
